Obiettivi del progetto: In September 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and, with it, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This Agenda is a global call to action to end the planet’s major challenges: ending poverty and inequality, achieving gender equality and access to decent work for all, providing access to health services and adequate education, protecting the environment, and ensuring that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The SDGs are the new framework to contribute to sustainable development, composed of 17 Goals and 169 targets to be met by 2030, and are addressed to all actors on the planet; governments, civil society and businesses have been called to action to contribute to these global goals. In this new framework, NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) have a decisive role to play. These organizations participated extensively in the consultations prior to the signing of the 2030 Agenda in 2015 and, once adopted, it is essential that they actively participate in its achievement. In this new framework, organizations have a decisive role to play in this process, due to their leadership capacity and their ability to involve people, who should be the protagonists of the actions that are promoted from different areas and levels. This means that, more than ever, formulas will have to be sought to join forces and work in networks, overcoming the traditional division between organizations working in the field of cooperation and the fight against poverty in third countries and organizations working in our countries, which have traditionally been called social action organizations. Therefore, it is essential that these associations increase their knowledge of the SDGs and their goals and learn to make their actions visible, as their role is crucial for the 2030 Agenda to be viable at all levels: local, regional, state and global. The main objectives of this project are:
1. To train participants in the knowledge of the SDGs and provide them with the necessary tools to make effective the work around their fulfillment. 2. To create a working system that allows participants and their organizations to align their strategy, objectives and priorities with the SDGs. 3. Exchange experiences and best practices that will enable associations to define external actions, methods for incorporating the SDGs into their daily work, and monitoring and measurement systems. 4. Elaborate a guide of good practices, objectives and activities for the integration of the SDGs in associations and youth work. 5. Create a network of associations to develop future projects that are more sustainable and incorporate the SDGs.
